Ikorodu United, Nigeria professional Football League side, was involved in auto crash while heading to Makurdi 
Colin Udoh, a Nigerian journalist and sports television presenter, said all members of the team are alive – The footballed team was heading for NPFL Match Day 22 fixture with Lobi Stars in Benue state Nigeria professional football team, Ikorodu United, was on June 17 involved in a ghastly car crash. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter The accident occurred at about 4pm along AMA Brewery Road 9th Mile, Enugu. The football players were traveling in a Chisco bus, which collided with a truck that over-turned and burst into fire.

Ikorodu United is the bottom team in the Nigeria League; having only recorded a paltry 15 points from 21 games. The team wrote on their Twitter: Ikorodu United, the league’s bottom club was traveling from their Lagos base to Makurdi, Benue state for NPFL Match Day 22 fixture with Lobi Stars scheduled for Sunday, June 19, 2016.
